To make this Cranberry Jello Shots recipe, simply add the cranberry JELL-O mix to a mixing bowl. Pour hot water over the dry gelatin mix and stir until the gelatin is dissolved. Stir in chilled vodka and then divide the mixture among your jello shot cups. You’ll want to fill the cups up to almost the top.
We recommend making these jello shots the day before so that they can set overnight in the refrigerator. If you make these the same day that you’ll be enjoying them, make sure you make them at least 4 hours prior as it will need to set in your refrigerator for at least 4 hours.
If you are adding the sugared cranberries on top, add them right before serving.
-Do jello shots have to be refrigerated?
You do have to refrigerate jellos shots to set the gelatin (to have it go from liquid to a more solid state). Once the gelatin is set, the jello shots can stay out of the refrigerator during your party or get-together, however, we think that jello shots are best served chilled.
-How many jello shots per 3 oz box of jello?
You will get about 12-15 jello shots with one 3 ounce box of gelatin.
-How long do jello shots last?
When stored in a plastic cup with lids (or another air-tight container), jello shots can last up to a week in your refrigerator. You could enjoy them a bit beyond that week, but for the best consistency and flavor, we recommend enjoying within a week.

Jello Shots are booze-infused jello (gelatin) usually served in small plastic cups. There are so many different ways you can make jello shots — different flavors, colors, and styles. You can even make them with different types of alcohol.
Today we’re sharing this Cherry Vodka Jello Shots recipe. They’re easy to make, have festive red color, and cherry flavor. They even get a long-stemmed maraschino cherry, making them a bit more special.
We think they are perfect for any occasion where the color red is key – holidays like Valentine’s Day, Galentine’s Day, 4th of July, and Christmas. But who needs a holiday to enjoy these? They are just as great for birthdays, game day (bonus points if red is the team color), or anytime you want a boozy treat.
To make this Cherry Vodka Jello Shots recipe, you’ll first place ten 2-ounce plastic cups on a tray or baking sheet. Place a maraschino cherry with stem into each cup and set aside.
Add the cherry JELL-O powder into a medium mixing bowl. Add the boiling water to the JELL-O and whisk until fully dissolved.
Add ice cold cherry vodka to the hot jello mixture and whisk to combine. Add the grenadine syrup (optional) and stir to mix.
Very carefully pour the liquid jello mixture into each cup, filling up close to the top. Place the tray of cups into the refrigerator and chill for at least 4 hours to allow the gelatin to “set”.

How to Make Christmas Margaritas
I prepared this recipe as if I was making it for a holiday party, so all of the measurements are for a pitcher, as opposed to an individual serving. A pitcher should serve 6-8, depending on the size of your pitcher and glassware.
First, measure out your ingredients. For our pitcher we used a cup and a half of tequila,
and a cup and a half of cranberry juice.
and a half cup of simple syrup.
Your pitcher may be different in size from ours, so the important things to keep in mind are the ratios:
- Equal parts tequila and cranberry juice
- Equal parts triple sec, lime juice, and simple syrup
- Tequila and cranberry juice are 3:1 compared to the other ingredients — so if you’re using 1 cup of tequila, you’d use 1 cup cranberry, and 1/3 cup each of the other ingredients
Once everything is measured, pour into your pitcher. You can also pour each ingredient immediately as you measure.
Once everything is in the pitcher, whisk to combine. Pour over ice and garnish with fresh cranberries and lime wheels.
Chill the Everclear in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes or until it's cold.
Bring 1 cup of the water to a boil over medium-high heat. Reserve the remaining water.
Add the powdered gelatin to a medium-sized mixing bowl. Pour the boiling water over the gelatin and stir until the powder dissolves.
Stir the cold Everclear and remaining 1/2 cup water into the hot Jell-O mixture.
Pour the hot Jell-O shot mixture into individual shot glasses or 2-ounce portion cups. Refrigerate for approximately 3 hours or until the gelatin sets.
This recipe works well with any flavor of Jell-O gelatin. You can even double the recipe and mix multiple Jell-O flavors, such as lemon and lime, or pineapple and pina colada.
You can also add fruit, such as canned or fresh fruit cocktail, but the pieces should be cut very small for easy consumption. Stir the fruit directly into the Jell-O when adding the cold water and Everclear. Alternatively, mix the fruit and Everclear together and refrigerate for several hours to allow the fruit to soak up the alcohol.
