It is a cake preferred by my dwarfs, with a sweet and sour taste.

  • 8 tablespoons milk
  • 10 tablespoons sugar

  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 vanilla sugar
  • 1 baking powder

RECIPE PREPARATION Cherry and strawberry cake:

With the mixer we beat the 2 eggs, the sugar, the oil, the milk, the vanilla sugar, the salt powder, the flour and at the end we add the baking powder.

When the composition is homogenized, pour it into a tray lined with butter and flour (I used the tart form with a diameter of 28). On top we arrange the cherries (washed and pitted) and the strawberries drained well of juice. gr, for ten minutes, then let it simmer (150 gr) for another 15-20 minutes. To make sure it is ready, you can test with the toothpick.

After removing the cake from the oven, let it cool well, cut it and powder it with powdered sugar.

INGREDIENTS for the countertop

  • half an envelope baking powder
  • 50 ml oil
  • 40 ml water
  • 8 eggs

  • 90 gr starch
  • 120 gr powdered sugar
  • 200 gr butter at room temperature

First and foremost we prepare the countertop. Separate the egg whites from the yolks. Rub the yolks with the oil. Beat the egg whites, pouring water, little by little. Towards the end, sprinkle the sugar and mix until the egg white foam remains on the wire.

Add the yolks over the egg whites and incorporate with a silicone spatula.

Sprinkle flour mixed with baking powder. Homogenize. I also used this cake top for the cake with mascarpone and pineapple cream.

We pour the composition in a wallpaper form with baking paper (35 & # 21525 cm)

and leave in the oven heated to 175 degrees for about 30 minutes, until it passes the toothpick test.

Gradually add a piece of butter and mix with a whisk. We continue the process until the butter is finished and its complete dissolution in the milk cream.

Let the cream cool at room temperature.

For the strawberry layer, finely chop the fruit. I found strawberries that were very sweet and fragrant, so they didn't need much sugar. Mix the strawberries with the sugar in a bowl

and leave on the fire until the sugar dissolves.

To assemble the cake, place a layer of strawberries on top of the bottom

and the other side of the countertop.

Leave in the fridge for at least a few hours, if not overnight.


Cherry Cake

1. Melt 25 g butter, but without turning it into liquid. Then add 25 g of powdered sugar and 25 g of bread flour in butter. Mix all this and knead until a dough is formed. Then put the dough in the freezer until it becomes solid.
2. Wash 80 grams of cherries and remove the seeds. Cut each cherry into 3-4 pieces.

3. Add in 100 g of melted butter but not liquid, powdered sugar, salt and beat with a mixer until the composition becomes white and fluffy.
4. Beat the egg, then add it three times in butter and mix until a glossy paste is formed.
5. Sift the flour and baking powder into butter and mix well to form the cake cream.

6. Pour the cream into a cake tray (or two cake trays, depending on its size), up to half the tray.
7. Put the chopped cherries over the cream and mix them a little.
8. Using a grater, cut the frozen dough into strips. Then put a layer of strips over the cake cream.

9. Place the tray (or trays) in the preheated oven at 200 degrees C, on the top shelf. After the color of the strips turns golden, adjust the temperature to 150 degrees c, and move the tray (or trays) to the bottom shelf. Baking time is about 40 minutes. (Temperatures and baking time can be changed depending on your oven).

The cake has a crunchy and crumbly surface, and the content is soft. Enriched with the taste of cherries, it is very tasty.
